    BIO

With Steve Colquhoun on drums and Bruce Lane on bass, Damn It Jim has a solid rhythm section that has been together for 25+ years.  Gord Oppen on lead guitar is a veteran of many successful bands and has settled in nicely with Damn It Jim since the inception in 2006. The first major change for Damn It Jim occurred early in 2014 with the addition of a new vocalist, Johnny Rocket.

Big crowds and large venues like Churchill Square, Shaw Convention Centre, Rangeton Farm Festival and the Jasper avenue concerts are always exciting for Damn-It-Jim, but our favourite times are when we meet some great people and we all party together. With a little incentive like a few drinks and a free Damn It Jim t-shirt, our new friends join us on stage to showcase their singing and cowbell skills.

Damn It Jim is a reliable, professional, fun band with influences that range from Blue Rodeo, CCR and Tom Petty to ZZ Top and the Rolling Stones.

    BAND or MYTH
In the original Star Trek series McCoy said "I'm a doctor, not a bricklayer", "I'm a doctor, not an escalator", or even "I'm a physician, I don't peddle in human flesh" in various episodes, but he never said "Damn it Jim, I'm a doctor, not a …" The damn it myth-memory may have originated from a 1975 "Saturday Night Live" sketch, "The Last Voyage of the Enterprise." McCoy, played by Dan Aykroyd, does say, "I'm a doctor, not a tailor damn it."
