    BIO

Founding members of the Damn It Jim Band,  Bruce (lead guitar, vocals) and Steve (drums), have played together for 30+ years.

Steve recalls his first gig on drums when the hall completely emptied out during a performance when the volunteer fire department was called out to a blaze.

Darcy on bass (vocals) is a veteran of many bands, starting back in his university days and recounts playing the pipes in the old Edmonton Coliseum as one of his best musical memories.

John (lead vocals, keyboard) is very experienced in music and includes singing for the President of the Dominican Republic as a highlight

Big crowds and large venues like Churchill Square, Shaw Convention Centre, Rangeton Farm Festival and the Jasper avenue concerts are always exciting for Damn-It-Jim, but our favourite times are when we meet some great people and we all party together.

Damn It Jim is a reliable, professional, fun band with influences that range from CCR, Van Morrison and Tom Petty to Dwight Yoakam, Brooks and Dunn and Johnny Cash to Green Day, Romantics and Blink 182.

    BAND or MYTH
In the original Star Trek series McCoy said "I'm a doctor, not a bricklayer", "I'm a doctor, not an escalator", or even "I'm a physician, I don't peddle in human flesh" in various episodes, but he never said "Damn it Jim, I'm a doctor, not a …" The damn it myth-memory may have originated from a 1975 "Saturday Night Live" sketch, "The Last Voyage of the Enterprise." McCoy, played by Dan Aykroyd, does say, "I'm a doctor, not a tailor damn it."
